		Lightweight Racing Valve Spring Kits for Yamaha® WR™ 450R/YZ™ 450F 2003-2012 KPMI takes a scientific “System” approach when designing our Valve spring kits. Each component is designed to work with the others as part of the complete system. KPMI’s engineers use our proprietary design and simulation softwares, and draw on our 70+ years of design experience to create these systems. Our design, simulation, and manufacturing processes insure compatibility of the valve spring’s force and natural frequency with the cam profile, valvetrain mass, system harmonics, and the engine RPM. Our spring manufacturing partners are U.S based companies that are ISO certified. 		Tensilite® Valves for Yamaha® WR™ 450R/YZ™ 450F 2003-2012 (6) All KPMI titanium valves are manufactured from solid U.S. milled titanium bar. The titanium bar is cut, forged and then the stem is pulled from the forging process and cross-sectionally reduced. After all final grinding and machining the valve is encased in a hard titanium nitride shell. We have tested these valves in the lab and on the track. They have proven themselves time after time in many high-demand applications, from a dual stage nitrous motor to a recent "Superbike from Hell".




		White Diamond® Valves for Yamaha® WR™ 450R/YZ™ 450F 2003-2012 (6) We fully CNC machine our White Diamond Valves from a one-piece forging of either EV8 Stainless Steel or Inconel-751. These materials have proven heat and corrosion resistance properties and are hard chromed with a 360 degree anode to produce the highest possible grade of hard chrome finish.




		Valve Guides for Yamaha® WR™ 450R/YZ™ 450F 2003-2012 (8) We choose to use C63000 nickel bronze as a material to make valve guides because of its ideal characteristics for the application. The 4-5 percent nickel content produces superior resistance to wear, and the approximately 80 percent copper content delivers outstanding heat conductivity.




		Valve Guide Seals for Yamaha® WR™ 450R/YZ™ 450F 2003-2012 KPMI Red 100% Viton® valve stem seals are designed to have optimum fitment, allow for maximum lift, and to give maximum life. KPMI Red valve stem seals are resistant to high temperatures, petroleum products and the corrosive gasses that are the by-products of combustion. These seals retain their ability to seal in situations where other materials could harden and allow oil to enter the combustion chamber causing detonation, carbon build up and a loss of power. The Red Ones are truly the racer’s choice.
